SWOT Analysis May Be Harming Your Business

SWOT Analysis:
Strengths: characteristics of the business or project that give it an advantage over others.
Weaknesses: characteristics that place the business or project at a disadvantage relative to others
Opportunities: elements that the project could exploit to its advantage
Threats: elements in the environment that could cause trouble for the business or project

I am all for planning for your business and creating a way to look at what is important, HOWEVER….

Some entrepreneurs get too caught up in what their competition is doing that they lose focus on their ultimate goal. Here’s a secret. When you are running your own race – or swimming your own race, your competition is irrelevant.
